A quick and easy weeknight meal featuring wontons in a flavorful broth.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups bok choy, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Wet the edges of the wrapper and fold to seal.
  4. In a pot, bring chicken broth and water to a boil.
  5. Add the wontons and cook for 5-7 minutes until they float.
  6. Add bok choy, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  7. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms or carrots.
  • Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
  • Leftover wontons can be frozen for later use.
