Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add butter and cream cheese; mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in cold water until dough forms.
  5. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. In another bowl, mix apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  8. Spread the apple mixture on one half of the dough.
  9. Fold the other half over and seal the edges.
  10. Cut slits on top for steam to escape.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing.
  13. Drizzle icing over the warm kringle.
