Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed.
  5. Stir in boiling water until well combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Frost with your favorite icing.
