Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Red food coloring
- Chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture.
- Mix in red food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before frosting.
- Frost with chocolate frosting before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Use heart-shaped molds for a festive touch.
- Adjust food coloring for a deeper red.
