- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Red and pink food coloring
- Buttercream frosting for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in milk and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Divide the batter into two bowls. Color one with red and the other with pink food coloring.
- Pour both batters into a bento box or cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Decorate with buttercream frosting as desired.
