A delicious Italian bake featuring layers of pasta, cheese, and rich sauce.
Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Add half of the ricotta mixture, half of the mozzarella, and a layer of marinara.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, sauce, and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
