Description
Buckeye balls are chocolate-covered peanut butter treats that resemble the nut of the Buckeye tree.
Ingredients

- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix peanut butter and softened butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar gradually and mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate chips with vegetable oil in a microwave or double boiler.
- Dip each ball in the chocolate, leaving the top exposed.
- Place back on the baking sheet and let chocolate set.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Use a toothpick to dip the balls for easier handling.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of powdered sugar.
