- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Insert toothpicks into each ball and freeze for 1 hour.
- Melt chocolate chips and vegetable shortening in a bowl over simmering water.
- Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, leaving a circle of peanut butter visible on top.
- Place the dipped balls back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until set.
Notes
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Use natural peanut butter for a healthier option.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar.
