Description

A traditional Hungarian dish made with chicken and a rich paprika sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Add chicken pieces and brown on all sides.
  4. Stir in paprika and bell pepper.
  5. Add chicken broth, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with dumplings or pasta.
