Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
