Ingredients

- 2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and blend well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
- Roll out the dough onto a floured surface and cut into desired shapes for the house.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm.
- Cool completely before assembling the house.
- Use icing to attach pieces and decorate with candies.
