Description
A deliciously moist banana bread topped with a cinnamon crumble.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for crumble)
- 2 tablespoons cold butter (for crumble)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas and mix in melted butter.
- Add baking soda and salt, mix well.
- Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour until just combined.
- In another bowl, prepare the crumble by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Pour the banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top of the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftover bread in an airtight container.
- Bananas should be very ripe for best flavor.
- Can add nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
