Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, lemon juice, and corn syrup in a saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add food coloring if desired.
  4. Increase heat and boil until mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Carefully pour into the copper lobster mold.
  7. Allow to cool and harden completely before removing from the mold.
