Description

Ingredients

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, diced

Instructions

  1. Rinse the black-eyed peas and remove any debris.
  2. In the crockpot, combine the black-eyed peas, water, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, bay leaf, carrots, and celery.
  3. Stir to mix all the ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until peas are tender.
  5. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
