A classic egg nog recipe perfect for the holidays.
Ingredients

- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup bourbon or rum
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and thick.
- Gradually stir in the milk and cream.
- Add the bourbon or rum, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Mix well until combined.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Serve cold, garnished with additional nutmeg if desired.

- Use pasteurized eggs for safety.
- Adjust the alcohol to taste.
