Description

A fun and playful cake designed to resemble a traditional Valentine’s Day cake but made with unconventional ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for frosting)
  • Food coloring (red and pink)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool completely.
  7. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make frosting.
  8. Add food coloring to the frosting and mix until you achieve the desired color.
  9. Frost the cooled cake and decorate as desired.
