Description

A classic melted cheese dish served warm with bread for dipping.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g Gruyere cheese
  • 200g Emmental cheese
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • French bread, cut into cubes

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic.
  2. In a pot, heat wine and lemon juice over medium heat.
  3. Gradually add the cheeses while stirring until melted.
  4. Mix cornstarch with kirsch, then add to the cheese mixture.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
