Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll dough into balls, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place on ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
