A fun football-themed cake for kids’ parties.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring
  • 1 cup white frosting
  • 1 cup green frosting
  • Chocolate soccer balls for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and sugar.
  4. Add butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls. Add green food coloring to one bowl.
  6. Pour the green batter into one pan and the regular batter into the other.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cakes cool completely.
  9. Spread white frosting between the layers and on top of the cake.
  10. Use green frosting to create a football field design.
  11. Decorate with chocolate soccer balls.
