- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- Royal icing for decoration

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.
- Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Roll out the dough and cut out pieces for the gingerbread house.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until firm.
- Allow pieces to cool completely before assembling.
- Use royal icing to assemble the house and decorate with candies.
Notes
- Make sure the gingerbread pieces are completely cool before decorating.
- Store any leftover gingerbread in an airtight container.
