Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
  4. Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla.
  6. In another bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
  7. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients.
  8. Divide the batter into two bowls.
  9. Add green food coloring to one bowl and mix.
  10. Pour the green batter into one pan and the plain batter into the other.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  12. Let the cakes cool completely.
  13. Level the cakes and stack them.
  14. Cover with green icing.
  15. Use black and white fondant to create a football design.
