Instructions

  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in molasses and milk until combined.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before frosting.
