  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup molasses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg, molasses, and vanilla. Mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into gingerbread girl shapes.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  8. Let cool before decorating.
