Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • Royal icing for decoration
  • Assorted candies for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and combine.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut shapes for the house.
  7. Bake the pieces for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Let them cool completely before assembling.
  9. Use royal icing to hold the pieces together and decorate with candies.
