Description

A classic green bean casserole made with fresh green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crispy fried onions.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 5 minutes.
  3. Drain and place the green beans in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and half of the crispy fried onions to the green beans.
  5. Mix well and pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.

Notes

  • Feel free to use frozen green beans if fresh ones are unavailable.
  • You can add cooked bacon for extra flavor.
