  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour.
  3. Place the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  4. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour, and softened butter to make the crumb topping.
  5. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 35-40 minutes.
  7. Cool before serving.
