- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips for filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar.
- Add vanilla and peppermint extracts, mixing well.
- Gradually blend in flour and salt until a dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in the center of each ball with your thumb.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Melt chocolate chips and fill each indentation with chocolate.
- Let cookies cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Adjust mint flavor by adding more or less peppermint extract.
- For a festive touch, sprinkle crushed mint candies on top of the chocolate.
