Traditional sweets made for the New Year celebration.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat until sugar dissolves.
- In a bowl, mix flour and melted butter.
- Add vanilla extract and nuts to the mixture.
- Form small balls and place them on a baking tray.
- Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
- Let cool and serve.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be made a week in advance.
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
