Description

Pan fried cod with lemon butter sauce is a simple and delicious seafood dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 lemons (juiced and zested)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the cod fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt.
  6. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  8. Return the cod to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fish.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
