Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in milk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Blend in pink food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
- Divide the batter between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool before frosting.
- Apply buttercream frosting between the layers and on the outside.
- Decorate with fondant to create a football design.
