Description
Profiteroles are delicate cream puffs filled with whipped cream or custard and topped with chocolate sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter. Bring to a boil.
- Add flour and salt. Stir until a ball forms.
- Remove from heat. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Drop tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool. Cut tops and fill with whipped cream.
- Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over filled profiteroles.
Notes
- Make sure to let the cream puffs cool before filling.
- Use a piping bag for easier filling.
- Store in the refrigerator if not served immediately.
