Description

Profiteroles are delicate cream puffs filled with whipped cream or custard and topped with chocolate sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and butter. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add flour and salt. Stir until a ball forms.
  4. Remove from heat. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Drop tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool. Cut tops and fill with whipped cream.
  8. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over filled profiteroles.
