Ingredients

- 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar.
- Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before frosting.

- Use cream cheese frosting for best results.
