Deliciously soft and chewy snickerdoodle bars baked in a 9×13 pan.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store bars in an airtight container.
- Bars can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- Experiment with adding nuts or chocolate chips.
