- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar with cinnamon.
- Shape dough into balls, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Place on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on wire racks.
Notes
