Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar.
  2. Add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4 hours.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 2 hours.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Brush the rolls with melted butter.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
