Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak fish fillets in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Remove fish from buttermilk and dredge in the cornmeal mixture.
  5. Fry the fish for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels before serving.
