Delicious peppermint cake pops coated in chocolate, perfect for the holidays.
Ingredients

- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup peppermint frosting
- 12 oz chocolate candy coating
- Crushed peppermint candies for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions.
- Bake the cake in a 9×13 inch pan for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
- Add the peppermint frosting and mix until combined.
- Form small balls of the mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
- Chill the cake balls in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Melt the chocolate candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into each cake ball.
- Dip each cake pop into the chocolate coating and allow excess to drip off.
- Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies before the coating sets.
- Let the cake pops cool and harden completely before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- These can be made a day in advance.
- Use white chocolate for a different flavor.
