Description

Delicious homemade marshmallows shaped for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water.
  3. Once sugar mixture reaches 240°F, remove from heat and slowly pour into gelatin mixture.
  4. Add vanilla extract and food coloring if desired. Mix on high speed until fluffy.
  5. Pour mixture into a greased pan and let it set for at least 4 hours.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and cut into shapes for Valentine’s Day.
