Description

A delicious and festive poke cake perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of strawberry puree
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  3. Mix until smooth and pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes throughout the cake.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix strawberry puree with sweetened condensed milk.
  8. Pour the mixture over the cake, filling the holes.
  9. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  10. Top with whipped topping and fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • For a richer flavor, use homemade strawberry puree.
