Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (for frosting)
- Red sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar to make frosting.
- Spread the frosting on the cooled cake.
- Top with red sprinkles for decoration.
Notes
- This cake can be made a day in advance.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Cut into squares for easy packing in lunchboxes.
